Research projects have given rise to a multitude of methods that I have implemented using home-built code, including:

• Plane wave method for band structures and local density of states in photonic crystals

• 3D FDTD method (with Maria Kafesaki & Costas Soukoulis)

• Layered grating Fourier modal S-matrix code for scattering by photonic crystals

• Implementation of Phys. Rev A. 57, 3913(1998) by Urbach and Rikken for calculating the local density of states anywhere near a planar dielectric interface or waveguide.

• Implementation of the dyadic Green's function for a sphere based on C.T. Tai, Dyadic Green's function in Electromagnetic Theory, and Li, Kooi, Leong & Yeo, IEEE Transaction on Microwave Theory and Techniques 42, 2303 (1994).
