Science class in Ermelo

Science class in Ermelo

On february 15th, my colleague Bruno Ehrler and I explained the physics, technology and economoy of solar power, LED lights and optical communications to an audience of 45 primary school students assembled at Christelijk college Groevenbeek in Ermelo. Hands-on demonstrations of LEDs and phosphors, gas light and ancient incandescent bulbs, silicon photovoltaics and printable inks made it a lively one hour seminar. Following the class, there was time to experiment with small solar cars, fluorescent and invisible ink, and the physics of refraction and color mixing This was a kennis op straat lecture.
